The Unfortunate Attack
Saturday, March 13th, 2010A woman was attacked by an adult Polar Bear on Friday at the Berlin Zoo. The incident happened when she jumped into its habitat climbing in through the fence and it was feed time then. She suffered from multiple bites. The Zoo workers used rescue rings which they tossed towards her so that she could be hoisted out and to distract the other polar bears which were gathering. The woman was rescued by the workers and was said to be severely injured. She was being treated in the hospital now. Though the reason as to why she entered the habitat of the bear was unclear the police have considered this as a case of trespassing.
